I had a little mishap Saturday afternoon that was scary. I am OK! My family was not at the house. My cat is alive.
BUT - I had a kitchen fire - woke up by my cat freaking out next to me. I had put water on the stove and forgot, then laying down for a little nap. I woke to a house full of smoke and a serious fire that I managed to get out with water from the sink.
I don't have house phones for the time being and some electrical stuff is out - but I am alive and actually feeling love for the cat I used to say I really didn't like. Nothing important was lost.
The feeling of gratitude to God for getting me thru Saturday alive is pretty overwhelming though! I am so glad God was not ready for me yet - obviously leaving me on planet earth for work yet to be done!
Mortality is an interesting thing. We can go years with out much thought, and then not be able to get it out o our heads! So glad to be here to say HI and Thanks to God!
