Hey web-land! I have been very busy as of late. I have had an influx of session calls from friends and from the internet and trying to get all this recording done has been tough and fun. 

I got one out yesterday and hope to finish a new track today for another friend. I have been working on new music for me and have been having a blast with a track I hope to release in a few months. The plan is to release the new single with the Smooth Jazz Classics collection and get all those tracks out to radio this year! I have my fingers crossed. This new track has a vocal option, pop rock and dance variation possibly being released. How cool is that??!?

I have been tracking for new projects a lot - friends working hard to get releases done too. Love playing the sax!!

In addition to the recording bump, I am writing for WWBW and that is kinda kicking my butt. I can write forever for blogs and forums or sites, but having to think about what I am saying and keep it at a certain length - HARD FOR ME! I need to bump out 3 more articles before the end of the month and really hope I develop more comfort in the process!

Add to the list - a new Christmas CD!! I was given access to 25 Christmas tracks from a friend/producer that always does amazing work. When I get this session done I will start playing thru the tracks to make a short list of songs to record for a new Christmas CD 2011. I need to pick the songs and then check the keys since he has many of these tracks in a few different keys! SO COOL! THEY SOUND AMAZING and we will go in and remix and rearrange them for my use - I AM EXCITED ABOUT THIS! Most of you already know I LOVE CHRISTMAS MUSIC!! Stay tuned for updates there.....

The last crazy thing I am stressing about is the Brecker Tribute band I started rehearsing with last year. Looks like it is going live, regardless of my feeling of insecurity. We have an April date and rehearsals have really heated up now that we are committed to doing this in public. I am NOT MICHAEL BREKER and NOT EVEN CLOSE! What I am is a total lover of Brecker and all the music he recorded. SO - we will be enjoying the tunes and trying to do them justice but the sax player will be doing his take on a legend - not a copy of the man....

Sadly lacking these days are website updates and social site posts - just too dang busy. The amount of energy required to hustle work, book, return calls, emails, texts, and messages on Socials is amazing. I think I am busier trying to get more work than if I was working all the time!!

With the open space in the schedule - it has been attacked and packed with projects I am really excited about. I got a call last week for a Brecker Brother's style band of originals to start writing for and assemble! My personal CD writing days, WWBW article writing and home sessions leave me wondering where the week went - every week!

Not a lot of billable time, but a lot of what started the love for music years ago - passion and REAL MUSIC!!
