Hard times for so many....
This has been a hard month.
I have a friend dealing with stage 4 liver cancer, one that just had a brain tumor removed, then there is prostate cancer for another and a 4th that had a follow up procedure to check inside after a stroke and he had a bunch of mini strokes and spent days getting checked out. All are dear friends and have been dealing with some really tough stuff.
These are the 4 that have been of concern and much prayer and thought has gone out for them.
I found out that a dear friend lost his 22 year-old daughter yesterday and felt so much hurt over this news. My friend is an amazing guy with a huge heart, musician, great bass player and ordained minister - now hurting with his family in a major way. I have to say that sadness seems all over my world this week. So many have been affected by these events and the news of the loss of this young lady was hard hitting and so sad.
Words can not express the heart ache that life sometimes brings, so I wont even try.
I will just list a few names if you would like to pray - The Porter family, Tynan, Tom, Art, and Steve.
Not all has been bad - my baby girl just turned 11 and had an amazing birthday on Monday. My son Ben is on his way to Zambia to work with Aids Orphans for the summer, and I do seem to be getting work calls coming in since my church gig ended last week. God is good! Satin is real and really SUCKS! The People around us often need a hug and sometimes a little more help than that. I hope we can all make a little extra effort to give and comfort those in need....
