Zambia Follow up

I have been working on audio clips, going thru all the media from Sunday's Pro Jam and Benefit for Ben's Zambia trip. I have audio I uploaded from Sunday.

The first clip is my first introduction of Ben with a funny story thrown in. This was recorded live at the show Sunday and many have asked me to post it since they thought it was funny!

So, here it is - Dad introducing Ben Vail and a funny little story!

I had Ben talk for a bit to share his heart and tell what he was going to do in Zambia. I have an audio clip of his comments right here to listen to - recorded live at the show - edited with most of the first clip and the new info from the second clip -

I also took as many pics as I could and did give the camera to my little girl, Vanessa. The pictures from the show have been posted on my FLICKr account - Greg Vail Pro Jam - Ben Vail Zambia

This is all I have done so far. I still need to upload and check video. I have audio ready for the 2 tunes Ben played bass on and will go video if I ended up with the video recorded for those songs. I hope so, but it is really hard to be 4 people at an event like this. I was running a jam show, negotiating 20 musicians, getting them on stage and going for features, running the sound, playing sax, and hosting a full room of friends and family for 5 hours. I did the best I could but would have to say the media stuff was pretty difficult while working!

Then I have been sorting it all out ever since - this being Tuesday - day 2!! I got pictures sorted, edited, and loaded. I still need to get the names and descriptions finished, I got the audio recordings loaded, sorted, edited and just posted them online (for Ben's time on the mic and my introducing him) posted above.

Now it's time to upload the video clips and see what I got! My card was full and I deleted some stuff on the 1st break! Hope I got Ben and Vanessa!! I will see in the next hour or so.

I have also been working with Ben to get the giving set up nice and easy! I took BenVail.com and have it pointing at his new blog now! His blog will have all the links and information anyone would need to follow the updates and donations, and later follow his adventure in Zambia! http://www.BenVail.com !!! Much easier than trying to remember long addresses or call me and listen to me going thru all the emails looking for the answers!!

 So - some audio clips and pictures are now up - video coming!

So proud of my boy! Listen to him speak on his clip! He is so comfortable in front of a packed room of people! I was amazed at how well he communicated his passion for Zambia!!!  If you want to participate in helping Ben get to Zambia, check the link and give a few bucks!
