A little September 11th passion - captured in music at the anniversary of the attacks -

America the Beautiful Video

I would venture to say, governments, since the dawn of time and from every possible background and structure, have had major flaws.

Human life is riddled with strife, power, ego, misuse of position, lies, abuse and outright evil. Our American system is no exception. Yet we do have freedom that many do not know and some level of justice, that can look so dysfunctional at times, and so amazing at others. Truth is, I am proud to be an American, and pray that we can be much better than we are! Maybe it would best be stated - Proud of what we believe in, but not very proud of how we act it out.

On this day, September 11, 2009, I remember an event that brought a country to together is a way I had never seen in my lifetime. The reason was tragic, but the temporary move from the redundancy of our selfish daily lives was replaced by an awareness that we needed each other and needed to help others.

It is hard for me to live this day, 8 years later, and not think, reflect and pray for so many people, many that I could never know, but, similar to that difficult day, feel a connection and goodwill for those that grieve and hurt today. Now we hear of troops loosing lives in distant places, seems like everyday. So sad.... My prayers go out to those feeling loss today, real loss! May you find Peace and Comfort in times of grief....
