September 2009 ALREADY??

WOW - What an amazing Summer!!  Amazing shows, some great travel, and more local shows than I have seen in years! But now it's over. Getting my little girl ready for school, looking for a new weekend job for the first time in way over 10 years, realizing I should have done taxes by now and am in big trouble if I don't get to them SOON ...............

Working hard on the Radio Show, which has undergone a few major changes. I thought it would be on air by now, but a new partner, producer and marketing focus for syndication means - slow! Slow! SLOW!

My Smooth Jazz Classics CD is still yet to actually be released and if you want to give me 5K I will get it out next month for sure! Issue is cash and I am told it is almost everyone's issue right now.

SO - September 11th is here again. It was 2001 when most of us remember seeing the unthinkable. Today, history stands in a political fire storm of controversy with strange wars fought in distant lands with weekly reports of more loss of life and no end in sight.

In memory of 9.11 - Rob Mullins and Greg Vail recorded a live concert at the year anniversary of 9.11 with the passion and patriotism of that moment, forever captured in music. I took that music and put it to patriotic images and powerful quotes from US founding fathers.

I share it this month in Memory of those Lost, and those left behind....

On a side and far less important note - Dave Guardala is scheduled for sentencing for crimes against musicians - September 11th, 2009. Check back for updates and outcomes on Guardala's day in court.

I pray for peace for this fall, and safety for our children on campuses across the country with school back is session!
Blessings to you and yours, GREG VAIL ~ SAXBOY
