Independence Day 2009
Wishing you all a happy and safe 4th of July 2009!
Heard something yesterday that needs to be published all over the net and world yet again!
When we celebrate our Independence Day, we are not celebrating being free. We are celebrating the day we, as a country, picked a fight, stating that we 'are free'. At that moment, our country was anything but free.
We were facing the tyranny of "taxation without representation". We had a group of world leaders that did not listen to us, that ignored our desires, requests, thoughts, pleads, and later, demand for a say in our own governing, for freedom.
We picked a fight, and later won the fight, finally being free from the oppression of this English domination. We Declared, "We Are FREE!" And then many lost there lives fighting for that freedom. Since then, many more thousands and 10's of thousands have lost there lives maintaining that freedom.

July 4th Celebration - Lynchburg 09
Sadly, we seem to live in an era of increasing governmental growth and intrusive legislation effecting our daily freedoms and hacking away at the very virtues that made our nation the greatest nation in the world.
This has been happening over the past 60+ years, but the last 3 administrations have taken the cause to a new and frightening fevered pace. The issue no longer lies in simple arguments over party ideals,but seems to cross all party boundaries, fueled by a desperate need for change, and then trust in people that do not deserve that level of trust!
Government for the people, by the people! Our representatives seem to need renaming or revamping to get back to representing the people.
As Mel Gibson said in Brave Heart, "FREEDOM!!" It is a cry that crosses all time and all people groups. We were made to be free and freedom is our celebration and cry yet again today.
May we celebrate our remaining freedoms by picking a fight and restating WE ARE FREE!
And remember; Freedom is never free! It cost many lives in the past, and if our government continues to ignore the people it claims to represent; it will cost many more lives again once again.
Celebrate and reinstate today! We are Americans and we are FREE!!
Happy 4th of July and prayers for a country that once was free, and now fights to regain freedom from tyranny and oppression from a government that ignores its people, over turns their vote, and threatens our very existence as a nation with greed and corruption at every level of government.
