A Great Month of Gospel Music

Hey BLOGGERs!

February was a great month of Gospel Music!! I got to play and hang with harmonica hero Darrell Mansfield, Guitar virtuoso Doyle Dykes, Saddleback worship teams, Chick Fil-A conference band and leadership, and record a live CD / DVD and live television show with Charles Billingsley in Virginia for TBN broadcasting and Maranatha Music for the CD and DVD.

What a major blessing this month has been! Picture Galleries are posted on Flickr and you can see what I saw all month!

Check out some pics and see how much fun a guy can actually have in one month! I am blown away! At last post I was still in Virginia and of course, now am home in the OC. The DVD - CD taping on Friday night was amazing! We saw footage of a rough mix and tape on Saturday and it was even bigger than it felt Friday night! Then the TBN special taping with the guest pastor's message of hope thru this crazy time was a total blessing too.

I believe the TBN special should be airing in a month on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. The DVD and CD of the live concert Friday is said to be available late June and Charles Billingsley's site should announce all the details as the dates get closer.

All I can say is WOW! I have been busy and really feel great about another awesome month of using my gifts in the Church, playing for things that really feel like they are making a difference and helping people cope with hard times!!

It really feels like things have been going crazy since December. We started with million Christmas Services, Concerts and events, a Fox News broadcast of Christmas Eve at Saddleback, a Weezer Video shoot with Jermain Dupri guest singing, an amazing trip to the Caribbean for New Years, the NAMM show in January, new videos posted, nearly 1000 pictures posted on the new Flickr account of all the events thus far, social networks blasting off, CDs flying out the door and all the regular life and work stuff running thru the middle of all the crazies!! Then February hit!!!

I am stunned and in awe! This has been an amazing start to a new year and we are only 2 months into it at this point. Tomorrow I am doing a radio station event for KSBR with an all star smooth jazz band, Friday I'm back on my steady in Coto, and 6 services this weekend at Saddleback mark the rest of the week, and probably the excuse for why I wont get a post in for a few days again.

Please take a minute to look at some pics. I think they are turning out really good overall.
Then listen to some music or check the growing You Tube Sax Video collection to hear what has been going on!

The Smooth Jazz Classics CD should be releasing in a few short month but there are a limited number of CDs available for pre-sale and you can always hit  iTunes for the quick fix, straight to your iPod!

Blessings to all and a Gigantic THANKS for your friendship online and for being apart of spreading the word and music!!!

      Hey Greg!

I really enjoyed the pics.Especially the ones from Canouan Island. While you were playing in the sun, I was freezing in Chicago. Its always so good to come home! Thanks for sharing those pics! The music is awesome as always!
Its a crazy time for all of us and I thank God for our church and all the people on that stage that devote their time and talent every week. I am not sure if you know how much it means when people like you share your gifts with us. It always helps me start my week with a new and postive attitude. Your music and that of all the musicians at church lift me up and keep me going through these tough times. Thank you for all you do!
