Hey musician! Ran across this quote and thought it was great as is, yet could be more musical.

Ralph Waldo Emerson
All the tools and engines on earth are only extensions of man's limb's and senses.

Thought to my self, "Self, how interesting for musicians!"

Greg's theme and variations -

All musical instruments on earth are only extensions of the human limb's and senses. As for the limbs, it is most obvious. As for the senses, we will likely never agree....

The battle of ability and appropriate has not come close to naming a victor.
Just because you can, never means you should; never makes it right.
A life perceived outside its environment is a life not perceived at all.
I believe "Appropriate"to be the biggest and least used word in the Musician Vocabulary.

What did I eat for breakfast this morning?????

Umm...............Wheaties? I'm pondering your statement re: the word "appropriate" being the least word used in the Musician's vocabulary. You're not including yourself are you?
