A little October Update
Hey guys and gals,
Greg Vail here. I had a few weeks of lame stuff to get thru and have finished my 07 taxes now, and ended a house sitting / dog sitting stay so I am back at my house and catching up, trying to put my life back in order.
Of course, order is a very relative concept since no musicians life resembles any order if your a CPA, but I digress.
CDs - The release for Smooth Jazz Classics has been hinging on the financing required to release it to radio and that is yet to be resolved. I still have a few copies for pre-release sale but the CD will not really exist for a while. Christmas search is already popping online. Please remember to order in pleanty of time to have your CD to enjoy before Christmas. The best time to order Christmas CDs is before Thanksgiving (or now!)
Web - Sites are doing great. 45 thousand views on You Tube over the past 6 months! 4 network sites killing GregVail.com these days - SaxReviews.com, AltoSaxophone.us, TenorSaxophone.us, Saxophone.us! These sites have amazing days - sometimes kicking over 1,000 page views in a day! MySpace is over 60,000 page views, but I am way more excited at the music player over 55,000 plays! The Greg Vail Yamaha Interview is in the top few artist downloads ever! I wont go on and on, but the good news is - People are getting exposed to Greg Vail and Greg Vail Music and Sales are slowly picking up!!!
Yamaha - Spent the day at the LA Yamaha location and had too much fun hanging with my friend Jeff Peterson and Hiroshi from Saxophone design in Japan. I love the Yamaha saxes and get so excited when talking with these guys!!
In other Yamaha news, the podcast interview has been a huge success and I am forever grateful to my dear Yamaha team for the opportunity to be apart of the many good things they are accomplishing around the world!
Work - is picking up and I am so happy about that!
Kids - are all doing great. Vanessa is kicking 4th grade, even doing 5th grade math now!
Ben is a studying to me a Marriage Family Counselor and I couldn't be prouder!
The Guardala trial is coming to a theater near you SOON. Well, it will be covered in great detail once the dang thing gets started on the Guardala BLOG - see sites in the right column.
Gotta run for now.
Thanks for dropping in!!
