New Greg Vail Interview Online August 2008 - Yamaha Video The Hub

The Yamaha Podcast Interview with Greg Vail was released online today! I am really excited to be apart of this Yamaha Video Series called The Hub. The intention of this video is to bring Yamaha Artists' music and expertise to the music forefront with a personal touch.

I jumped at the opportunity to get involved with the concept and was blessed with a fun day at the Yamaha Atelier in Los Angeles, California. Lindsay interviewed me for over an hour and the footage was accompanied with some live video shots, CD audio and pictures from the many Greg Vail sites online.

I just got the email a few hours ago and am very excited! It is still me, and "me" is not that exciting since I have "me" around all the time. But, the concept is really good, the interview turned out great and the use of video, CDs and pictures was awesome. Thanks so much to Yamaha for taking me in on this one!!

Just a note that it is pretty long so you need a little time to check it out. I hope you will and that you will post a comment or question here after you do!!

Thanks for stopping in and reading. Enjoy the video -

      Hi Greg,
I couldn't resist and had to check out your "hub" interview. Even though it was a little long, it was a really interesting interview. I thought the questions were good and I felt like I got to know you better as an artist and person. I liked the way they incorporated your videos and pictures in with the interview too. Your stories were pretty funny - " John Wayne's little brother" made me laugh. I kept wondering ( as I'm sure you have) why he would have done that. I also liked that Yamaha let you plug your websites and new cd. Anyway, I did hit the pause button a couple of times, but watched all of it. Good job!

You are the best! Thanks Marisa for watching the whole thing. It is pretty long, but I am glad you watched thru it and took the time to post!

I think the goal was getting to know he artist a little better and that was awesome that you put it in those exact words!

Thanks again for watching and your comments.

      Hi Greg!

I watched the interview and really enjoyed it! The one thing I really picked up on was when you said you saw a need and filled it! Thats what my Dad always said. You have provided other artists and those of us who aren't in the biz a great service by creating those websites! Great job!
I enjoyed the stories as well. The John Wayne thing cracked me up! I know John Wayne is big in other countries and equated to Americans as a whole. Maybe thats why he said that. Anyway, great interview!
      Blessings,
      Maire

That's cool when I hear others saying the same things. The comment was answering the why question. "Why so many sites?"

The reason was because I thought they were needed. Every site had a reason in my head first. They are too much work to not require a reason!

Thanks for the post and kind words!

The podcast was fun and I'm glad to see people taking the time to check it out. The stories are a bit crazy, but sometimes truth is stranger than fiction!

Thanks as always for stopping in!

I am planning to go to an auction and they have an old sax for sale. I have not been able to find any information on the web for this brand. The name is _ uoscher Sukhert or Sukhart.
Would anyone be able to help me on value or a web site link?

Scott, I have no idea but have found a lot of help searching odd saxes on Sax On The Web - all one word - dot net.

Lots of guys and lots of information.

        Hope that helps,

        Greg Vail
