So many things about the web are really cool!
I was checking the iTunes pages and under Top Songs, the list says that 6 out of 10 of my top downloads listed today, are from the new CD, Smooth Jazz Classics!
I want to thank the many of you that have been hitting iTunes and picking up tracks! Thanks so much and continued Blessings!
Go to iTunes Greg Vail or link here --
phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewArtist?id=4301582 -- and hit the Top Songs link on the left. It is adjusting all the time due to people buying stuff, but still was really cool to see the new CD #1 best Seller and 6 out of 10 tracks in my Top 10!
Pretty cool!
Also got a nice review on iTunes yesterday -
Come Vail Away! 5 stars
by Jazz P
OK, smooth jazz has had way too many cover songs these past few years, but until the trend is exhausted, these kinds of projects should be evaluated on just how cool and grooving and well arranged and produced they are. Vail works with the cream of the Orange County, CA crop and rocks the house on all these pop and pop-jazz winners that we've heard over and over. It's a blast, and well worth a few bucks to download at least a few tunes!
Thanks to Jazz P!!
I have had other comments coming in too. Check this one out from an email this week -
Greg Vail's most recent CD "Smooth Jazz
Classics," is awesome. Greg has an all star line up on the venture and it
shows. A great selection of songs with fabulous arrangements. Mr. Vail's
passion and skill really shine through. His talent in arranging for woodwinds
and woodwind performance is impressive. "The In Crowd," really gets you going
and that honkin Bari Sax just smokes. My personal favorite is "Affirmation,"
the George Benson classic. Stevie Wonders "All In Love is Fair," will make your
heart cry. Great job Greg!

Also received this week after the Greg Vail Show at Saddleback Church -
Hello Greg,
My husband and I are Saddleback Members, and we both
attended your Jazz Concert last night. Wow! You are incredible, and when you
played Europa it was simply amazing. I know that your Mother wasn't there to
receive it as her dedicated song, but no worries because I was there to take her
place. =) That is one of my MOST favorite songs of all times. Carlos Santana
watch out! The evening could not have been any more perfect than it was. All
we needed was a glass of our favorite red wine. We purchased your CD named The
Gospel Truth and we've been listening to it non-stop. It is simply wonderful,
and they couldn't have picked the most perfect person to Kick-Off their summer
concert series.
Thank you for blessing us last night, and every Sunday at
Church during Worship. May God continue to bless you abundantly in EVERY area
of your life.
Thank you,
Geoff and Adriana Schofield
And from the BLOG -
