He web-land!

Greg Vail shoutin out - again. Doing that thing I do. Working online when a sax is not hanging from my mouth.

I started a Face Book account this weekend and have been buried with activity with the site. Found it was really easy to search for sax related topics and introduce myself to people on the site. The problem has been keeping up with it. I have been answering emails, returning posts and responding to questions all day today.

I had no idea it could be so crazy. My MySpace is pretty easy on me time wise. I had some busy days getting it started and looking right, but then it got easy, just adding new friends and responding to messages. I have has a couple of cool messages of late, thanks to music for the new CD playing on my MySpace. Internet Radio, Podcast Shows and A&R messages have MySpace feeling pretty worthwhile these days.

I hope to meet thousands of new Sax players and Sax lovers on Face Book now too. The site is a few days old, and I have added over 100 friends already. Just trying to hook up with people, introduce myself and my music, and the sax players I send to the ed sites if it looks like they might benefit from them.

Finished that book I was reading - Dirty Little Secrets of the Record Industry. Very good and insightful.

Started a new book, just arrived in the mail from Amazon - Guerrilla Music Marketing by Bob Baker. Pretty funny because some of what it says to do in the first few chapters, I was doing all morning before the mail came. I was reaching out to people, 1 at a time, to make a connection and one day a sale.

SO, we keep reading, learning and trying new stuff.

PLEASE DON'T FORGET - SMOOTH JAZZ CLASSICS Sound Clips are on my MySpace.com/GregVailSax

Go - Listen - Enjoy - Tell a friend - Enjoy some more.

Rise is the latest track to be added from SMOOTH JAZZ CLASSICS CD.

Rise - Herb Alpert - The biggest selling Instrumental Artist of his time - a huge album and amazing track!

Thanks for listening,

Greg Vail Sax
