Christmas is done, back to work...

Wow, twas the day after Christmas and all thru the house, are bows and paper and trash all about. We ate and played and visited with glee, and I opened a present or 2 just for me. The kids all seem happy, and busy right now, playing with new toys as Dad screams an OWE. For Dad, fighting packaging designed by a freak, nearly cut off a finger releasing Barbie. Now with Christmas behind us, its time to begin, regaining my work space and breaking a grin. For this year a CD will release the sounds, that 2007 was spent getting down. And with any luck it will be a success, and give me some cash as to pay down this mess. So 2008 will be hardly the same, with Smooth Jazz Classics, we are back in the game!

A lame poem for the day after. 100's of hours of recording, editing, arranging and recording on the new CD, 14 Christmas Services, 3 Christmas school concerts, club gigs and a few Christmas parties later, I am still standing and grateful for a busy, successful and blessed December!

Thanks to my friends and fans that have stayed connected and been such a support thru 2007! With the Guardala Scam, the year started off down right bad! With the support of so many wonderful people in my life, I am looking at 2008 with hope and great expectation.

We will have the new CD done in the next 2 weeks and then send it to Mastering and Manufacturing. This is my best CD to date and I am, as you would expect, very very excited about it!!!!

I have begun cleaning up the sites from all the Christmas stuff, and once I get them all back to normal status, I will get the Artwork going and get some tracks posted on my MySpace music player so you-all can hear what I am so excited about.

I pray we all have a safe a blessed 2008!

And Thank You from Greg Vail and Greg Vail Music!!

Hi, Greg. Hope you don't mind if I leave a trackback. My own sax/jazz website is still very much in its fledgling stages, and I'm looking to connect with other players. I see you go to Saddleback Church. Until a recent restructuring at Zondervan, I served for fourteen years as the copy manager. So I'm quite familiar with your church, having managed the copy for Rick and Kay Warren's books (though to be quite honest, Rick pretty much managed his own copy).

    Blessings,
    Bob

PS If you check out my blogs, you'll discover where the "Storm" part of "Stormhorn" comes from. Besides playing the sax, I'm totally gonzo about storm chasing.
