My Partner,
Shannon Kennedy, got a call to play with some old
Pop band a while back. She didn't really take notice of the band's name, but just called me to see if I would do the gig with her.
The band ended up being
multi-platinum artist -
10,000 Maniacs. I thought it sounded cool and booked the gig.
Well, we did the show last night -
Main Stage at the
Balloon and Wine Festival in
Temecula, CA.
The gig was really fun. The people were awesome and the hot air balloons were really cool to see up close!
10,000 Maniacs

The guys and gal in the band were really cool people to hang with.

Oscar is the lead singer with a guys name? First Oscar I meet that was a girl.

The horn section is written for
Alto, Tenor and Trombone.
Shannon Kennedy is seen left, on Alto Sax.
Chris Clark, center, Trombone, and
Greg Vail, right, Tenor Sax. We sounded pretty good too...

Sunset was really awesome and from where we were standing - in the back behind the stage - the view was awesome!

The music was really good last night.
24E is a local band with a huge following and they sounded really great! the
10,000 Maniacs played next and I think we kicked it really hard too. Then a very talented group of gentlemen closed the show named
Five for Fighting. These guys sounded great too. The sound system was beautiful and the mixing and lighting guys were great too. Dang it - another near perfect night on the big stage.
I am blessed.
