Between Holidays

Hi all, SAXBOY here!

Pretty quiet this week now that Christmas is done for 2006. It's been all about the clean up for me too this week. I needed a couple of days to just catch up and got them.

Tomorrow night - Friday the 29th of December will be the last Skippin Stones gig of the year and for a while. It is a fun project that allows me to try some stuff I could not do in an LA unRehearsed world. I hope to find a new home for the band in 07. Cavallino has cut my budget and a 5 piece would be almost immoral at the money they are paying now. I will be at Cavallino next year but staying with the 4 piece jazz format.

Hope to see a big turn out! Cavallino is in Huntington Beach CA - PH 714-536-6665 - 8-12 - Skippin Stones with Greg Vail, Ron Robertson, Ernie Nuenez, Mike Parsons, Mike Pelzman.

New for 2007

A new venue for Greg Vail Jazz - Steamers Cafe in Fullerton CA. - January 10, 2007 - 8-12. Support Live Jazz will you still can.

Shannon Kennedy's CD should be arriving the 5th or 6th! I am very excited for her and wish her an amazing 2007!

Greg Vail and Bobby Cruz are starting back to work on the Timeless Hymns - The Classics CD. Look for more news as we get this one done and out!

New Years Eve I am working with a great band at the Island hotel in Fashion Island, Newport Beach CA. I really enjoy these guys and should have a great night there! Hope you have found a cool New Years hang and have a great one!

NAMM is coming! January 18-21, 2007 in Anaheim CA. This should be another really fun NAMM for me since I am on the Yamaha Dealer Show again this year. It is an all star event that is very hush hush until NAMM week so peeps the word. I will be hanging hard at NAMM again this year and look forward to seeing great new gear and old friends. Reviews will hit the review site - SaxReviews.com. Pictures will follow.

2007 is already shaping up to be a great year!

Be Blessed and safe.

SAXBOY Greg
